Defqon.1 Festival - All you need to know

Defqon.1 Festival; On Saturday June 12 Defqon.1 Festival will take place at Almere Strand. Find below 'part 1' of all the info you need to know as a visitor.

Defqon.1 the Netherlands is sold out. We strongly advise NOT to buy tickets via the 'illegal circuit'. All tickets will be scanned and checked on its authenticity.

Identification and age
ATTENTION! As usual there will be strict age and identity checks at the entrance. The police announced to check everyone's age! Make sure you bring your ID (drivers license, ID-only, OV, passport) so your entrance won't be refused. A copy of your ID is NOT valid. The minimum age for visiting Defqon.1 is 18 years.

Timetable
Like every Q-dance party, the timetable will be released on Wednesday before the event.

Defqon.1 Live on air!
Defqon.1 Festival will be broadcast LIVE at Q-dance Radio. The broadcast is from 11AM till 11PM.
And just like last year, you can listen to Defqon.1 LIVE in the ether on: 105.8 FM (The Netherlands only). This FM frequency is available from around 15 kilometres from the festival area.

Travel well prepared
For Defqon.1, Almere Strand station will be in use. Check NS.nl for a personalized trip advisor. And of course do not forget to buy your return train tickets from the ticket machine at your station.
Attention! If you plan to travel further on after Defqon.1, please do not risk missing your train by waiting till the last train. The last train is expected to be very busy.

Also check vananaarbeter.nl for any roadworks, so you won't be surprised on the day.

Organized bus transport
When you are organizing a bustrip by yourself, please register your bus by sending an email to busreizen@q-dance.nl, this can be done till Friday June 11 3PM. You will then receive all the info you need to know about parking. There are still a few organized bustickets left at Eventtravel.nl.

Entrances
This year there will be a few different entrances at Defqon.1. Please watch carefully which entrance you use as you will also have to exit the festival trough the same entrance/exit. Every exit will have signs that say where they lead to (train, buses and/of parking).

Cameras
At Defqon.1 you're allowed to bring a digital photo or video camera. Professional video equipment is not allowed.

Lockers
There will be lockers for hire, there is no wardrobe. The rent for a locker is EUR 6,- and the deposit is EUR 5,-. You have access to your locker during the festival but please check at which entrance you hire your locker.

Drugs
We must comply with the local drug policy, which is zero-tolerance. No hard and soft drugs are allowed. You will be handed over to the police and refused entry if any drugs are detected.

Goods
Food and drinks of any kind are not allowed to be brought on site. Deodorant and sunscreen are only allowed in the original (closed) packing. Perfume and aerosols are not allowed.

Defqon.1 CD
There will again be a Defqon.1 CD this year, which will be available at the Free Record Shop stand on site. Divided over 4 disks are the mixes from Wildstylez, Kamui and Mad Dog, the fourth CD contains "The Sound of Defqon.1".

ATM's
There will be ATM's at Defqon.1, only they do not always work that well. Therefore we recommend to bring enough CASH for the day.

Take care of yourself ... and each other
A whole day of partying requires more energy than you might be aware of. Make sure you come to the event well prepared. Drink and sleep enough and keep in mind that in the evening it can get cold. Finally, our motto is "Come together, stay together ", so take care of your friends and yourself.
